MSCI Brings AI-Powered Investment Intelligence to Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services
August 25, 2026

New York – August 25, 2026 – MSCI Inc. (NYSE: MSCI) is empowering investment professionals to access MSCI data in Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, via a Model Context Protocol (MCP) Connector.

Using MSCI Connector’s MCP, Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services directly and securely connects to MSCI's content and retrieves entitlement-controlled information in response to client questions.

Clients can ask questions, measure performance and perform analysis across public markets, private assets, real assets, climate and sustainability, all grounded in MSCI’s trusted data and aligned with their existing entitlements.

At launch, MSCI clients using Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services will have access to the following capabilities via MSCI Connector:

  • Index performance and analytics – Query MSCI index performance, constituents, factor analytics and methodology documentation.
  • Private capital benchmarking – Benchmark private capital funds using IRR, TVPI, DPI and other performance measures across vintages, geographies, asset classes and fund sizes.
  • Multi-asset portfolio transparency – Access portfolio holdings, performance, transparency, liquidity and cash flow data across public and private markets.
  • Real assets index intelligence – Query direct property, property fund, infrastructure and debt fund index performance across global markets, including headline performance metrics (Total Return, Capital Growth, Income Return) and underlying fundamentals with sector, geographic and asset characteristic breakdowns.
  • Sustainability and climate insights – Explore and assess companies using MSCI’s sustainability ratings, scores, controversies, business involvement screening and emissions data through natural language.
  • Portfolio risk and factor Insights – Ask natural language questions about portfolio risk, factor exposures and trends, grounded in entitled MSCI AI Portfolio Insights data.

Each capability connects securely to MSCI and delivers data accessible within a client’s existing entitlements. Capabilities can be used independently or in combination within the same conversation, enabling richer, cross-asset analysis through a single interaction.

“Our ambition has always been to make MSCI’s data and insights available wherever our clients work,” said Jorge Mina, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Analytics, MSCI. “Integrating MSCI Connector into Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services is a significant part in that process, bringing together important analytical capabilities through a single, secure gateway and putting them directly in the hands of investment professionals in the AI environments they already use.”

"Financial institutions need rapid, secure access to analytics directly within their AI workflows to make informed investment decisions," said Satish Thomas, Vice President, Google Cloud. "By bringing MSCI Connector into Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, we are empowering portfolio managers and analysts to instantly surface and act on deep sustainability, climate, and risk insights without leaving their primary AI workspace."

The MSCI Connector is available to all clients immediately and at no additional charge, subject to the terms of MSCI’s AI Contract Supplement.
