Salesforce and Google Cloud Unify Infrastructure and Agents for One-Connected AI Stack
September 15, 2026

Expanded strategic partnership enables cross-platform agent reasoning and action on a shared infrastructure and data foundation, brings Salesforce workloads to Google Cloud through Hyperforce, and accelerates AI adoption

SAN FRANCISCO – September 15, 2026 - Today at Dreamforce 2026, Salesforce and Google Cloud expanded their strategic partnership to eliminate the friction of fragmented enterprise systems — where data, agents, and applications operate in silos — and accelerate enterprise AI adoption. By running Salesforce on Google Cloud infrastructure and connecting Salesforce’s headless architecture with Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise, agents on either platform can reason and act upon the same data without custom integrations.

Underpinning this alliance is a resilient technical foundation that aligns the essential layers of enterprise AI: the trusted data, workflows, business logic, and actions of Salesforce, the agentic and reasoning capabilities of Gemini Enterprise, and the everyday interfaces where teams and consumers interact in real-time.

Hyperforce on Google Cloud

Hyperforce on Google Cloud is already successfully handling live production customer traffic. Salesforce will begin migrating select customers in the U.S. in Q4 2026, marking a significant milestone for the partnership in bringing the trusted Salesforce platform to Google Cloud at scale. This enables organizations to take full advantage of Google Cloud’s infrastructure, data services, and Gemini Enterprise.

"What changes here is the infrastructure underneath our customers, not the trust they've built with us," said Meir Amiel, President, Chief Trust and Infrastructure Officer at Salesforce. "Hyperforce running natively on Google Cloud will extend the same security, compliance, and resilience standards we hold ourselves to. Enterprises will get Google Cloud's flexibility without giving up an inch of the trust bar they expect from Salesforce."

“Enterprise AI only pays off when agents can understand a company’s business context and act on it,” said Kevin Ichhpurani, President, Global Partner Ecosystem at Google Cloud. “Gemini Enterprise brings Google’s most advanced AI together with a company’s data, applications and everyday workflows in one platform. By bringing Salesforce — where critical customer and business processes already live — into Gemini Enterprise, customers can build trusted agents that reason across their business context and securely take action. And with Hyperforce on Google Cloud, customers gain greater choice in how they deploy Salesforce on our AI-optimized infrastructure.”

Gemini Enterprise with Salesforce’s headless architecture and Agentforce

Google Cloud is one of the first hyperscalers to implement Salesforce’s headless architecture, enabling customers to deploy intelligent workflows across their sales, service, and productivity tools with uncompromised security and scale.

  • Salesforce capabilities in Gemini Enterprise: Enterprises can now surface Salesforce data and capabilities directly within Gemini Enterprise without needing custom integration. Salesforce’s headless architecture makes thousands of Salesforce capabilities available to any model, agent, or interface, enabling use cases from pipeline health checks and account summaries to case triage across Sales, Service, Finance, and Advertising workflows. Built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) open standard, Salesforce’s headless architecture allows native interoperability between Gemini Enterprise and Salesforce.
  • Tableau analytics in Gemini Enterprise: Enterprises can now connect Gemini Enterprise to trusted analytics in Tableau, ensuring that every agent response is accurate and relevant. With Tableau MCP, governance, row-level security, and semantic models are enforced with every agent query for consistent, business-grounded insights.
  • Gemini models in Agentforce: Joint customers use Google Cloud's Gemini models natively within Agentforce to build autonomous AI agents that reason and act across both platforms. Google’s most recent and advanced models continue to be available to power Prompt Builder and Agentforce’s Reasoning Engine for Salesforce customers.

Joint customers like SharkNinja are already putting these integrations into practice:

“By bringing Gemini Live’s real-time, multimodal capabilities together with Agentforce, we’re creating a new way for consumers to engage with SharkNinja throughout the life of a product,” says Evan Gerber, VP of AI and Emerging Technology at SharkNinja. “What starts with guided setup can grow into an intelligent product companion that helps people learn, troubleshoot, discover new possibilities and connect with support when needed. Together with Google Cloud and Salesforce, we’re building an experience that carries context across the consumer journey and becomes more useful with every interaction.”

Commerce Cloud and Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP)-powered checkout on Google

Starting this Fall, shoppers can seamlessly discover and purchase products directly within Google Search, including AI Mode, and the Gemini app, powered by Commerce Cloud.

  • Seamless discovery and purchase: Merchants can surface their products in conversational AI experiences to help drive high-intent traffic and new revenue.
  • Native product feed integration: Merchants can send product catalog data to Google Merchant Center through a native feed integration and field-mapping interface in Business Manager.
  • UCP-powered checkout: Merchants can enable end-to-end purchasing directly within Google surfaces like the Gemini app and Google Search, including AI Mode, while keeping payments, compliance, and order management securely on their existing commerce infrastructure.

"AI is changing not only how consumers discover products, but where they buy them,” says Velia Carboni, CIO of SharkNinja. “With our products surfaced across Google surfaces and UCP enabled checkout on the results page, we shorten the path from discovery to purchase while keeping payments and order management on Commerce Cloud. It creates a seamless experience for consumers and a meaningful new growth channel for SharkNinja.” [APPROVED]

A unified foundation with Google Data Cloud and Salesforce Data 360

Salesforce Data 360 and Google BigQuery already support Zero Copy data sharing. Building on this integration, both companies are expanding data sharing to additional Salesforce and Google regions, adopting Iceberg Rest Catalog open standards, and enabling Private Connect to deliver open and secure interoperability. Salesforce and Google Cloud continue to explore new capabilities such as bidirectional semantic information sharing, creating a foundation for more connected, governed, and intelligent data and AI experiences.
