WASHINGTON, DC (October 20, 2026): BLEN, a launch partner for Google Cloud's Gemini for government services, today announced that its Federal Register, eCFR & regulations.gov connector is available in the service. The connector gives agents read-only access to official U.S. federal regulatory data from all three sources.

Many regulatory questions need all three sources: what a CFR section says today, which Federal Register rule changed it, and what the public said in the docket. For example, an analyst can ask which rules proposed this year would change the federal drinking water standards, read the current text of each affected section, and pull the public comments filed on each docket. With the connector, an agent can search and combine all three in one query, then return answers that cite the identifier and link of each official record.

The connector is open-source software released under the Apache-2.0 license. Agencies can review the code on GitHub at github.com/blen-labs/fedreg-mcp-server. BLEN also builds connectors for other public federal data, including SAM.gov contract opportunities, Data.gov, and ClinicalTrials.gov among others.
