Karthik Narain is the Chief Product and Customer Officer at Google Cloud, bridging core product engineering with frontline enterprise execution. In this role, he drives product strategy and engineering execution across Applied AI, Data Cloud, Distributed & Sovereign Cloud, and the Office of the CTO. He also oversees the Google Cloud CISO organization, establishing security and trust as the baseline for enterprise AI adoption.
Karthik manages Google Cloud’s most strategic enterprise relationships globally, bringing the best of Google’s capabilities to deliver measurable outcomes for enterprises and partners while translating frontline customer insights directly into resilient, scalable AI infrastructure. He works closely with Google Public Sector to align product engineering with sovereign and government priorities. He also oversees Google Cloud’s Global Support, CIO, Business Planning & Pricing and Strategy & Operations functions.
Before joining Google Cloud, Karthik was Group Chief Executive of Technology, Chief Technology Officer, and Chair of the Board of Avanade at Accenture. During his tenure, he shaped Accenture’s technology vision and led its industry-leading Cloud-First and Data & AI businesses.
With extensive expertise across cloud, AI, security, enterprise platforms, and application engineering, Karthik has spearheaded major digital transformations for Global 4000 enterprises and public sector organizations around the globe.
He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Bharathidasan University in India.
