Shivakumar (Shiv) Venkataraman is the Vice President / General Manager of the Cloud Applied AI team, leading delivery of cutting-edge AI platforms and applications for Google Cloud enterprise customers. Shiv has been at Google for over two decades, with key leadership roles spanning VP/GM Labs, VP/GM Search Ads, and VP Payments. Beyond Google, Shiv was recently VP at OpenAI. He has also held a number of software engineering roles at IBM, Cohera Corporation, and PeopleSoft. Shiv holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, as well as a Master of Science and PhD in Database Systems from University of Wisconsin at Madison.
