Tomoyuki Hirate is Japan Representative and President in Google Cloud Japan G.K., responsible for Cloud business and solutions for Japan market.
Prior to joining Google Cloud Japan, he was Senior Vice President, Sales for Dell Inc. and Chairman, Representative Director for Dell Japan Inc. & EMC Japan K.K. He was responsible for Dell’s full suite of end-to-end business in Japan market regarding Sales, Marketing, Financials, Innovative solutions and Customer Relationship and Satisfactions.
Before Dell, he was Vice President in Verizon Communications Inc., and Managing Director, Executive Officer and President of Verizon Japan Ltd., where he achieved growth for the company. Before Verizon, Tomoyuki was Vice President in IBM Corporation and led IBM Japan as senior Executive team. During his 25 years of IBM career, he held a series of senior executive leadership roles in industry verticals and services organizations. In addition, he led AP GM office for business operations at IBM Asia Pacific Headquarter and also he was appointed in a key manager role in Corporate Strategy at the IBM Corporate headquarter in USA. He received a Bachelor of Science from Chapman University, California, U.S.A.
