Vice President, Google Cloud Go To Market Strategic Pursuits
Umesh Vemuri is vice president of Google Cloud GTM Strategic Pursuits, where he leads a team that identifies immediate and future business opportunities and turns them into scalable programs that serve customers, grow the business and continually meet future market demand.
Prior to his current position, Umesh served as vice president, Global Strategic Customers and Industries for Google Cloud. He joined Google in 2012 and previously led the Google Cloud Americas Customer Engineering organization.
Over his 20 year career, Umesh has focused on solving complex business and technology problems directly with Fortune 1000 companies. Before Google, he served in the CTO office for Science Applications International Corporate (SAIC) Defense Solutions Group and as a solutions architect and developer for BEA Systems and America Online.
Umesh received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from James Madison University in Virginia — where he was also a scholarship Division I soccer player — and a Master of Science in Information Systems Technology from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. He lives in San Jose, CA with his wife and two children.
