Urs joined Google as its first vice president of engineering after having been an associate professor of computer science at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Until 2023, he was leading the teams building and operating the infrastructure that powers Google's services and Google Cloud. Today, Urs focuses on solving technical challenges as a Google Fellow.
